Frauke Decoodt, who spent a year working for an international human rights organization in 2010, is back in Guatemala to document numerous social justice issues she first encountered. Specifically, Frauke focuses on the negative effects of globalization and the response of the indigenous communities, on their struggle for land, and on human rights abuses of past and present. Frauke writes about movements involving youth, women, and other underrepresented groups. She writes about David and Goliath.
With a past in activism, many travels through Latin America, a Masters Degree in Anthropology of Violence and Conflict at the English University of Sussex, as well as post-graduate education in International Research Journalism, it is obvious Frauke is a socially and politically engaging reporter who aims to reverberate the scream of those considered voiceless.
